Aval Nanachathu

Aval Nanachathu

 

 

Ingredients (Serves 2)

Brown or white Aval / Beaten(flattened rice)/Rice flakes /Thin poha  - 2 cups

Grated coconut -  3/4 - 1 cup

Jaggery - 5 cubes or  around 1/2 cup, grated or to taste (You can replace it with sugar)

Cardamom powder - 1 - 2 pinches (Optional)

Method

Combine the first three ingredients well using your fingers until the rice flakes are soft and wet, about 5 - 6 minutes. If it is dry, sprinkle 1 - 2 tbsp milk. Sprinkle cardamom powder and mix well. Keep aside for at least 20 minutes. Serve with sliced banana.
